In April 2003, the first work group arrived from Maine--with a very dedicated welder from New Hampshire who decided to stay a couple more weeks. We all enjoyed the hospitality of Tanis' church and family. We worked for one week in the hot sun and took far more water breaks than the Haitian workers did...
We got a lot of work done--walls and floors of seven rooms of the pastor's house; metal gates and window grating (Thanks, Rodney), and lots of money and enthusiasm raised for the project. We praise God for this opportunity to serve.
Your prayers, interest and support are important, too. Thank you.
